Managed Antivirus

What is it?

Basically, it is antivirus software that is installed on your computer and is actively managed by me.

Installed on your pc

The managed antivirus software is installed on your computer via an agent. Once installed, it goes to work protecting you from malicious software on the internet. It stays constantly updated by talking back to my servers for up-to-the-minute malware definitions.

Runs unnoticed in the background

The managed antivirus software is very light-weight, yet it carries a heavy-weight punch when it comes to knocking out virii, trojans, worms, and other malicious software. While other antivirus software programs can slow down your pc, my managed antivirus software runs unnoticed in the background and is very easy on your computer's resources.

I personally make sure it is up-to-date and running

Malicious software is very smart today. It can disable your computer's protection without your knowledge. After blocking your antivirus from doing its work, the malware then begins to invade your privacy and damage your computer. With managed antivirus software, I will be instantly notified if it stops working.

Why do I need it?

"There is a 50 percent chance your unprotected Windows PC will be compromised within 12 minutes of going online,"

-- security vendor Sophos Protect yourself

The results of every scan are reported back to my dashboard and any problems are highlighted for my review which allows me to quickly correct any issue. Quickly reviewing the scan results, I can find problems fast, and act to resolve them immediately. Often before they are noticed by the customer. If you (or a trained technician) aren't actively monitoring your antivirus solution, how do you know if you are truly protected?
